A striking Column Calcite specimen from Jinhua, China, featuring a beautifully defined elongated crystal formation with a soft champagne-yellow colour and natural matrix still attached.

This specimen forms as a substantial single Calcite column with a distinctive angled termination. Its translucent body reveals fascinating natural internal veils, subtle inclusions and fine cross-hatched growth markings that become particularly visible as the light passes through the crystal.

A small section of contrasting dark grey matrix remains attached towards the upper section of the crystal, preserving part of its original mineral formation and creating a beautiful contrast against the pale golden Calcite.

Its unusual column-like structure makes this a particularly interesting example of the varied Calcite formations found in Jinhua, while its compact size makes it perfect for a mineral shelf, crystal cabinet or curated display.
