A spectacular Dragon Scale Calcite crystal specimen from Jinhua, China, featuring large golden-honey Calcite crystals rising dramatically from their natural mineral matrix.

This specimen has an incredible sculptural formation, with several elongated Calcite crystals creating tall, blade-like points through the centre of the piece. Around them sit chunkier interlocking Calcite formations in soft champagne, honey-yellow and translucent cream tones, giving the cluster plenty of depth from every angle.

The larger crystals display the distinctive layered, scale-like surface texture that gives this material its Dragon Scale Calcite trade name. In the light, the translucent tips reveal internal veils, natural inclusions and subtle flashes, contrasting beautifully against the darker mineralisation visible across sections of the matrix.

At over 11cm tall, this is a particularly impressive display specimen with a striking natural silhouette and beautifully preserved crystal formations.
