Brucite Raw Mineral Specimens - (Ex Collection)

A gorgeous little selection of natural Brucite specimens, featuring the bright lemon-yellow colouring and fascinating crystalline texture that make this unusual mineral so distinctive.

These ex-collection pieces range from soft buttery yellow through to brighter citrus tones, with areas that become beautifully translucent when illuminated. Their raw surfaces are made up of delicate crystalline formations, creating plenty of texture and sparkle despite their petite size.

Several of the specimens also contain contrasting darker mineral inclusions, giving each piece its own individual character. Shapes vary considerably across the collection, from taller formations to wider clusters and more delicate elongated pieces.

Measuring approximately 18.2–32.6mm, these are wonderfully affordable miniature mineral specimens and a lovely opportunity to add Brucite to a collection without needing to choose between individual pieces.

About Brucite

Brucite is a naturally occurring magnesium hydroxide mineral with the chemical formula Mg(OH)₂.

Although it can occur in several colours, the vibrant yellow variety is particularly recognisable amongst mineral collectors. Fine specimens can range from creamy pale yellow through to intense lemon and almost neon yellow-green, often with areas of translucency that seem to glow when held against the light.

Brucite has a relatively low Mohs hardness of approximately 2.5–3, meaning its crystalline formations can be easily scratched or damaged and are best appreciated as display specimens.

The contrasting dark inclusions visible within some of these pieces are part of their natural mineral formation and make each intuitively selected specimen completely individual.
