About Labradorite

Labradorite is a feldspar mineral best known for the optical phenomenon called labradorescence. Light interacting with microscopic structures within the mineral can produce flashes of blue, green, gold and other colours that appear and disappear as the stone is moved.

This means Labradorite can look dramatically different depending on the lighting and viewing angle. Its natural grey base can appear relatively understated from one direction before revealing a bright flash from another.
