Okorusu Fluorite Specimen No. 3 | Namibia
Product Information
A beautiful UV reactive Okorusu Fluorite specimen from Namibia, formed from naturally intergrown Fluorite crystals in vivid blue-green and emerald tones. Areas of deeper forest green sit alongside wonderfully translucent crystal edges, creating an incredible shift in colour and depth as the specimen is turned through the light.
Weighing 125g and measuring approximately 61.3 × 52.1mm, this specimen has a wonderfully sculptural formation, with overlapping crystal faces, stepped growth patterns and natural inclusions giving every side something different to explore.
This specimen is also UV reactive, adding another dimension to an already highly collectable locality piece.
About the Material
Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral particularly well known for its geometric crystal habit, colour zoning and extraordinary variety of colours. It commonly crystallises in cubic formations, and changes in chemistry and growth conditions can produce several shades within an individual crystal or specimen.
Okorusu, Namibia is a renowned Fluorite locality and has produced highly collectable green, blue-green and purple specimens. Pieces from this locality are particularly loved for their strong crystal formations, internal colour and striking appearance under different lighting conditions.
Intention & Chakra
Fluorite is traditionally associated with mental clarity, concentration and organisation. It is often chosen symbolically when working through complicated thoughts, studying, making decisions or trying to bring a greater sense of structure and focus to everyday life.
The green colouring of this specimen is traditionally associated with the Heart Chakra, while Fluorite is also commonly connected with the Third Eye Chakra through its associations with clarity and perception.
Intention: Focus & Mental Clarity
Chakra: Heart Chakra & Third Eye Chakra
Natural Specimen Symbolism
Natural mineral specimens retain the structures created during their geological formation rather than being shaped into a polished form. They are often associated symbolically with authenticity, natural growth and allowing something to develop in its own way.
Fluorite's naturally geometric structure adds another layer of symbolism, with its defined crystal formations often connected with order, organisation and bringing clarity from complexity.
