Stilbite & Apophyllite from India
Product Information
A beautiful natural Stilbite and Apophyllite specimen from India, combining soft peach Stilbite formations with clear-to-white Apophyllite crystals across a broad natural matrix.
This piece has a gorgeous layered appearance, with chunky geometric Apophyllite crystals forming throughout the centre and upper areas of the specimen. Their translucent to milky-white colouring contrasts beautifully with the warmer Stilbite, which forms in delicate bladed and fan-like growths around the edges and between the larger crystals.
The Stilbite has subtle peach, champagne and creamy tones, with its characteristic pearly lustre particularly visible across the larger formations. In contrast, the Apophyllite catches the light with brighter, glassier surfaces, creating flashes of sparkle as the specimen is viewed from different angles.
Areas of the matrix are also coated in a fine snowy-white crystalline layer, adding another texture to an already incredibly detailed piece. Small cavities and overlapping crystal formations create plenty of natural depth, while the broad shape makes this an especially lovely specimen for displaying horizontally.
At approximately 68.3 × 104.6mm, this is a substantial specimen measuring over 10cm across and has plenty of visual impact without being difficult to display.
About Stilbite & Apophyllite
Stilbite and Apophyllite are frequently found together within the famous zeolite-bearing volcanic deposits of India, where mineral-rich fluids have produced spectacular crystal growth inside cavities within ancient basalt.
Stilbite is recognised for its distinctive bladed and sheaf-like formations, often appearing in white, cream, champagne and peach tones. Apophyllite commonly forms more sharply defined, glassy crystals that can range from colourless and transparent to milky white or pale green.
When the two occur together, their contrasting crystal habits create particularly attractive mineral specimens: the softer, pearlescent formations of Stilbite sitting alongside the brighter geometric structure of Apophyllite.
Associated Intention
Peace & Calm
Both minerals are traditionally associated with peaceful, uplifting energy. Stilbite in particular is often connected with tranquillity, emotional softness and stillness, while Apophyllite is associated with clarity and releasing mental heaviness.
Associated Chakra
Crown Chakra
Stilbite and Apophyllite are both commonly associated with the Crown Chakra, traditionally linked with spiritual awareness, clarity and higher consciousness.
They are also popular minerals for meditation and reflective spaces, making Crown the clearest chakra association for the combined specimen.
