Yunnan Apophyllite Crystal Cluster #1

A beautiful natural Apophyllite specimen from Yunnan, China, featuring a wonderfully textured formation of sparkling white crystals alongside larger, beautifully defined transparent crystal growth.

Unlike the more architectural Indian Apophyllite clusters, this specimen has an almost snow-covered appearance, with masses of tiny colourless-to-milky crystals creating a dense, glittering surface across much of the piece.

Amongst this finer crystalline growth are several larger Apophyllite crystals, including a particularly eye-catching clear tabular crystal projecting from one side of the specimen. Its transparent body and visible internal structure contrast beautifully against the frosted white formation surrounding it.

Across the rest of the specimen, countless smaller crystals overlap and grow into one another, creating ridges, pockets and layered formations that sparkle strongly when moved through the light. Some areas are densely coated with tiny points, while others reveal larger individual crystals emerging from beneath.

The contrast between the delicate sugary crystal coating and the larger geometric formations gives this piece plenty to explore from every angle and makes it distinctly different from the previous Apophyllite specimens.

Originating from Yunnan, China, and measuring approximately 55.6 × 40.3mm, this is a highly displayable collector specimen with beautiful natural texture, lustre and crystal diversity.
