Product Information

Discover our beautiful Honey Optical Calcite spheres, featuring delicate shades of pale golden honey, soft champagne-yellow and creamy ivory, with natural crystalline formations and gentle variations in translucency.

These three individually available spheres have a wonderfully soft, luminous appearance. Their warm colouring ranges from delicate buttery yellow to pale honey and translucent cream, creating a subtle golden glow as light interacts with the polished Calcite.

Each sphere displays its own arrangement of natural internal features, including fine crystalline veils, delicate cleavage lines, cloudy formations and subtle variations in clarity. These characteristics give the material its distinctive appearance, with different details becoming visible as the spheres are turned and viewed from different angles.

The polished surfaces enhance the natural softness of the colour, while the rounded shape allows the internal crystal structures to be appreciated from multiple perspectives. Their gentle golden tones make them beautiful additions to a crystal shelf, altar, meditation space or collection of natural mineral specimens.

Three individual spheres are available. Please select your preferred sphere from the variant options. Each sphere is sold separately, and you will receive the exact numbered piece selected.

No.1 | 110g | 42.4mm / 1.67 inches
A beautiful pale honey and creamy-yellow sphere with a soft, luminous appearance. Delicate internal crystalline lines and subtle cloudy formations create gentle variations in colour and translucency throughout the polished stone.

No.2 | 105g | 41.7mm / 1.64 inches
A softly coloured champagne-yellow sphere with delicate natural mineral structures and fine internal veils. Its polished surface reveals subtle variations between translucent cream and warmer buttery-yellow sections.

No.3 | 95g | 40.4mm / 1.59 inches
A lovely pale golden Calcite sphere with soft ivory undertones, natural crystalline markings and delicate variations in translucency. Small internal mineral features add individual character to this beautifully polished piece.

About the Material

Honey Calcite is a golden-yellow to amber-coloured variety of Calcite, a calcium carbonate mineral with the chemical formula CaCO3. Calcite is known for its distinctive rhombohedral cleavage, relatively low hardness and fascinating optical properties.

One of Calcite's most interesting characteristics is double refraction, also known as birefringence. This occurs when light passing through the crystal separates into two rays, potentially causing objects viewed through sufficiently transparent material to appear doubled.

This phenomenon is particularly associated with highly transparent optical-grade Calcite, historically known as Iceland Spar. Natural cloudiness, crystalline veils and internal fractures can limit the visibility of this effect in polished Honey Calcite specimens.

Honey Calcite's characteristic yellow and golden colouring is associated with natural impurities and colour-producing features within the mineral. Its appearance can range from very pale champagne and creamy yellow to richer amber and golden-orange shades.

When polished into a sphere, Calcite's natural internal structures become visible from multiple angles, giving every piece its own unique arrangement of crystalline formations.

Intention

Energy & Motivation
Within crystal traditions, Honey Calcite is associated with confidence, motivation, optimism, personal empowerment and mental clarity.

Its gentle golden colouring makes it a symbolic choice for intentions surrounding renewed enthusiasm, self-belief and embracing new opportunities with a positive outlook.

Honey Calcite is also traditionally associated with overcoming hesitation, recognising personal potential and developing the confidence to move forward with meaningful goals.

The soft, luminous appearance of these smaller spheres makes them particularly suited to personal intention setting, meditation and creating a symbolic reminder of steady growth and positive change.

Associated Chakras

Solar Plexus Chakra
The golden-yellow colouring is traditionally associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra, representing confidence, personal power, motivation, independence and self-worth.

Sacral Chakra
The warmer honey and buttery-yellow tones bring an additional Sacral Chakra association, symbolically linked with creativity, emotional expression, enthusiasm and vitality.

Third Eye Chakra
The translucent crystalline structures and optical characteristics of Calcite are sometimes symbolically associated with the Third Eye Chakra, representing clarity, insight, awareness and perspective.

Shape Symbolism

Sphere
Crystal spheres are traditionally associated with wholeness, harmony, balance and the even distribution of energy. Their continuous rounded form symbolises unity and completeness, without a beginning or end.

Within crystal traditions, spheres are believed to radiate energy equally in all directions, making them popular for meditation, intention setting and creating a harmonious atmosphere within a space.

Paired with the uplifting symbolism of Honey Calcite, the sphere shape represents balanced personal growth, confidence and the steady development of inner strength.
