Natural Tanzanite Crystal | Tanzania
Product Information
A beautiful natural Tanzanite crystal from Tanzania, displaying the mineral's distinctive blue-violet colouring with areas ranging from soft periwinkle blue to deeper violet-blue. The crystal remains in its natural specimen form, with visible internal fractures, inclusions and natural surface features creating wonderful depth when viewed under light.
Weighing approximately 10g and measuring around 13.9 × 6.2mm, this is a lovely miniature collector specimen of one of the world's most distinctive blue-violet minerals.
About the Material
Tanzanite is the blue to violet variety of the mineral zoisite. It is famous for its pleochroism, meaning the crystal can display different colours depending on the viewing angle and lighting. Shades can range through blue, violet and purple tones.
Tanzanite is particularly notable for its extremely restricted geographical origin. Commercially significant Tanzanite is associated with the Merelani Hills of northern Tanzania, making locality an important part of the mineral's appeal to collectors.
Intention & Chakra
In crystal traditions, Tanzanite is associated with intuition, spiritual awareness, communication and inner clarity. It is often chosen for meditation, reflection and periods of personal or spiritual development.
Its blue-violet colouring is traditionally connected with both the Throat Chakra and Third Eye Chakra, linking expression and communication with intuition and perception.
Intention: Focus & Mental Clarity
Chakra: Throat Chakra & Third Eye Chakra
Natural Crystal Symbolism
Unlike a polished carving or tower, this Tanzanite retains its natural crystal form. Natural crystals are often associated symbolically with authenticity, individuality and growth, allowing the mineral's original structure and formation to remain part of the piece.
Its naturally elongated crystal habit also gives the specimen a strong sense of direction, making it a beautiful piece for a mineral collection, altar or display.
