Okorusu Fluorite Specimen No. 2 | Namibia
Product Information
A dramatic Okorusu Fluorite specimen from Namibia, featuring a cluster of naturally formed Fluorite crystals with exceptionally rich colour zoning. Deep forest green and almost black-looking outer faces give way to luminous emerald and blue-green translucency as the light passes through the specimen, with touches of purple visible around some of the crystal edges.
Weighing 125g and measuring approximately 50.2 × 51.3mm, this is a compact but incredibly striking collector specimen. The overlapping crystal formation gives it a sculptural appearance from every angle, while strong backlighting reveals just how much colour is held inside those darker crystal faces.
About the Material
Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral prized by mineral collectors for its distinctive crystal formations and remarkable colour range. It commonly forms cubic crystals and can display pronounced colour zoning, where different shades develop within a single crystal as conditions change during its growth.
Okorusu, Namibia is a particularly well-known Fluorite locality and has produced highly collectable specimens in green, blue-green and purple tones. For locality collectors, the provenance is an important part of the specimen alongside its colour, formation and overall aesthetics.
Intention & Chakra
Fluorite is traditionally associated with clarity, concentration and organisation. It is often used symbolically when seeking to clear mental clutter, improve focus or bring structure to complicated thoughts and situations.
The rich green colouring of this specimen is also traditionally connected with the Heart Chakra, while Fluorite more broadly is frequently associated with the Third Eye Chakra and mental clarity.
Intention: Focus & Mental Clarity
Chakra: Heart Chakra & Third Eye Chakra
Natural Specimen Symbolism
Unlike a polished crystal, a natural mineral specimen retains the structures produced during its geological formation. Raw specimens are often associated symbolically with authenticity, natural growth and embracing things in their original form.
The defined geometric structure of Fluorite makes this especially fitting, pairing natural formation with the stone's traditional associations with order, clarity and focus.
