Product Information

A beautiful Polychrome Jasper sphere, displaying a striking combination of warm caramel brown, smoky blue-grey, golden ochre and soft cream, with sweeping mineral formations and intricate natural patterns.

This 275g sphere has a particularly dramatic appearance, with rich amber-brown sections flowing around cooler blue-grey formations. The colours create an almost atmospheric landscape, reminiscent of storm clouds moving across a desert horizon, with pale cream and misty grey areas bringing contrast to the deeper earthy tones.

One of the most distinctive features of this specimen is the broad, flowing blue-grey formation running through the warmer brown material. Fine natural lines, delicate mineral boundaries and small rounded markings add further detail, while areas of pale cream and golden yellow appear between the darker sections.

As the sphere is turned, the patterns change considerably. One side reveals larger, sweeping caramel and ochre formations, while another displays cooler smoky-grey areas, subtle internal-looking markings and small circular features. Its highly polished surface enhances the contrast between these colours and allows the natural patterns to be appreciated from every angle.

Measuring approximately 58.4mm (2.30 inches) in diameter and weighing 275g, this is a beautiful display sphere with an unusual colour combination, ideal for a crystal shelf, altar or collection of distinctive natural stones.

About the Material

Polychrome Jasper, also known as Desert Jasper, is a colourful ornamental stone commonly associated with deposits in Madagascar. It is sold commercially as a variety of Jasper, a term frequently used for opaque, fine-grained silica-rich rocks.

The material is known for its distinctive combinations of earthy colours, including brown, red, yellow, cream, grey and occasionally blue-grey tones. Variations in mineral composition, iron-rich pigmentation and natural geological structures create the sweeping patterns, irregular patches and layered formations characteristic of the stone.

The name Polychrome refers to its many colours, while Desert Jasper reflects the landscape-like appearance of its natural patterns.

Intention

Protection & Grounding
Within crystal traditions, Polychrome Jasper is associated with grounding, stability, emotional resilience and connection to the natural world.

Its rich earthy colouring makes it a symbolic choice for intentions surrounding security, inner strength and maintaining a sense of balance during periods of uncertainty or change.

Polychrome Jasper is also traditionally associated with motivation, creativity and renewed enthusiasm, encouraging confidence and a grounded approach to new opportunities.

Associated Chakras

Root Chakra
The deep brown and earthy tones are traditionally associated with the Root Chakra, representing grounding, stability, security and connection to the physical world.

Sacral Chakra
The warm caramel and orange-brown areas are associated with the Sacral Chakra, symbolically connected with creativity, emotional expression and vitality.

Solar Plexus Chakra
The golden ochre and yellow colouring brings an additional Solar Plexus Chakra association, traditionally linked with confidence, motivation, personal strength and self-belief.

Shape Symbolism

Sphere
Crystal spheres are traditionally associated with wholeness, harmony, balance and the even distribution of energy. Their continuous rounded form symbolises unity and completeness, without a beginning or end.

Within crystal traditions, spheres are believed to radiate energy equally in all directions, making them popular for meditation, intention setting and creating a harmonious atmosphere within a space.

Paired with the grounding symbolism of Polychrome Jasper, the sphere shape represents finding stability amid change, embracing balance and remaining connected to the natural rhythms of the Earth.
